Font Help      


The website www.dasasahitya.org is running with Dynamic Font. The users of the website need not to install any Font in his/her computer.

These dynamic font works only in Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape 6.1.

You must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape 6.1 installed in your PC.

But sometime even you have these recommended browser in your PC, the website is not showing the Kannada fonts properly?

Mainly the Problem can be two types:

  1. All the pages are showing non-readable items on the screen or
  2. Some places garbage like box  is showing

Try the following:

1. Right click on the screen.
2. Move the mouse pointer to Encoding

  1. Click on User Defined.
  2. Click on Auto Select
  3. If you do not see User Defined, move the mouse on More4 then you will see other options
  4. Click on User Defined.

STILL YOUR PROBLEM NOT SOLVED?

INSTALL THE NUDI FONT IN YOUR PC:

Procedure for installation of nudi web 01 k and nudi web 01 k bold font in your computer.

For Windows 98 / 95 / ME systems the steps are:
Step:1 Click here to Download the NUDI font

Step 2: Unzip and extract the file downloaded (you will get 2 files, save them in C:/ drive.

Step: 2: Copy the file nudiweb01k.ttf and nudiweb01kb.ttf to the folder c:/windows/fonts.
Step 3: Go to the View in the menu bar and click Refresh.




For Windows NT/ 2000 systems the steps are: Step:1 Unzip the file downloaded
Step: 2: Copy the file nudiweb01k.ttf and nudiweb01kb.ttf to the folder c:/winnt/fonts.
Step 3: Go to the View in the menu bar and click Refresh.

Note:
The Drive (c:/) selection depends on in which partition the Operating system is loaded in your computer. Some time the OS is loaded in other partitions also (D:/ or E:/ and so on).

And now also if you still see junk then . . .

1. Right click on the screen.
2. Move the mouse pointer to Encoding
3. Click on User Defined.
4. If you do not see User Defined, move the mouse on More 4 then you will see other options
5. Click on User Defined.

If you User Defined is invisible

Three options are their to user defined fonts

i)     First option
1. Right click on the screen or on Your Browser.
2. Take Cursor to Encoding--More
3. In the next submenu you will see User defined option
4. Select it

ii)    Second option
1. Click View in the Menubar .
2. Take Cursor to Encoding --More
3. In the next submenu you will see User defined option
4. Select it

iii)   Third option
1. Right Click on the Toolbar you will find Customize Popupmenu, Click it .
2. You Get Customize Toolbar window.
3.Add Encoding Component in the Rightbox
4. Now Encoding will see in the Toolbar.
5. Take Cursor to Encoding Tool --More
6. In the next submenu you will see User defined option
7. Select it
